Since 2007 I have been working full time as a freelance translator, and prior to this as a part-time translator within an academic environment.
I specialise in IT, consumer electronics and software localization, technical manuals and medical and pharmaceutical translations.
In the IT sector I have translated interfaces and user manuals for antivirus, enterprise resource management and medical database software, as well as user manuals for printers, navigation systems and other hardware.
In the fields of technical translation I have mainly translated operation and maintenance manuals for a range of machine tools, presses, conveyor belts, trucks and wire drawing plants.
My medical and pharmaceutical translation projects included technical specifications, journal articles, essays, trials and medical surveys.
Often my background in humanities has involved me in translation projects within the sectors of archaeology, history, tourism and current affairs.

I first began translating and editing within an academic environment, primarily in the field of Archaeology. Later I also began translating and editing in the fields of law, tourism, medicine, administration, accounting, marketing, and many more.
Within the field of law I have been involved in the translation of investigation reports, and hundreds of documents used in an important international court case.
I have translated and edited extensively for European tourism agencies primarily within Italy, and been involved with many medical translation projects throughout Europe, as well as government reports on humanitirian issues throughout developing countries.
