Born in the German speaking part of Switzerland, I grew up in the canton of Lucerne, in the center of Switzerland. After my high-school diploma I moved to Geneva to study translation at the School of Translation and Interpretation (ETI), with German as mother tongue and English and French as foreign languages. I did 2 semesters abroad, one in Edinburg, Scotland, the other in Brussels, Belgium.

During my time at university I was able to gather my first work experiences, as at IOM (International Organization for Migration) and at TCS (Touring Club Switzerland).

After receiving my Master of Arts in Translation in 2003 I worked for 3 years as a Marketing Assistant at L'Oréal Switzerland, where I was responsable for all translations from French into German, and especially for the translation and adaptation of french packagings to the swiss market and the translation of documents for internal and external use (marketing presentations, press releases, sales brochures etc). Moreover I was in charge of composing texts in German (ads, PR articles etc) and proofreading.

In January 2007 I started my own translation company rstranslations and have been working as a freelance translator for several companies ever since, most of them being active in the luxury market (L'Oréal Group, Moët Hennessy Switzerland etc.)

Due to my experience in the marketing of a cosmetic company, I'm specialized in everything that concerns the world of beauty and women. In my personal live, I'm very interested in interior design, art design and fashion.

Being Swiss, I'm perfectly familiar with the country's language and culture. Therefore I can not only make translations for the German, but also for the Swiss market.

I attach great importance to the quality of a translation, to applying the appropriate vocabulary for each domain and target culture. What counts for me is professionalism, precision and punctuality.
