I am a French and Portuguese native speaker.

I graduated in LLM French-English, special field Translation (Faculty of Arts, University of Oporto) in 2006. Afterwards, I became a trainee translator for two months in a consultanty firm on Oporto. I was in charge of the translation of all the documents for their French clients (see my resume for more informations).

I then started translating on a part-time basis for some agencies (name provided on request) for I wanted to learn more about some programs (as Macromedia products and such). I now provide my services (translation, proofreading and subtitling) on a full-time basis to both companies and individuals.

The areas of expertise of the projects I have worked on are the following ones:
Finances and business (contracts, official documents...)
Construction and civil engineering (website, documents related with bridges contruction, floor remplacement...)
Safety at work (manuals)
Marketing (presentations on powerpoint)
Others (thesis).

I have always been a perfectionnist and it also applies to all my translations. Once I have the document in my hands, the first thing I do is start researching about its theme to be sure of the accuracy of the terminology that has to be used. Only accuracy can validate the quality of the translation so that its content is exactly the same as in the original document.

I strive for perfection in what I do. My being perfectionnist allows me to deliver clean, accurate and on time translations. I never failed a client for I look for his satisfaction and the possibility to collaborate with him again.
