About me

I graduated from UCLA, having also studied at Doshisha Daigaku in Kyoto (and study abroad in high school).

The majority of my translation is business related. Projects include: Work Rules （就業規則） and other employment policies and contracts; other Human Resource and management information; advertisements and marketing materials; stockholder information; company information including web pages, etc.; contracts; all visitor information for a World Expo 2005, Aichi, Japan exhibitor; interviews; insurance manuals; Formula 1 exhibits; business plan analyses; press releases; business letters; resumes; conference and trade show information and brochures; technical manuals and presentations; tv related market research reports; personal documents etc. Subjects include Human Resources, management, marketing, stockholder information, ecology issues, hybrid cars, travel, culture (dance, cooking, etc.) and pets (dogs, horses)

I also have experience translating technical diagnostic information at Canon USA and Canon Argentina (photocopiers, printers and other office equipment), joint venture contracts and aviation related information at Toyota Motor Corporation and human resource related laws and information at Nihon Keizai Shimbun America.

I have interpreted for executives of each of these corporations in technical, training, and business strategy meetings. I played the major role in a set of NHK Basic English educational videos, explaining points of grammar. Other interpreting jobs include business meetings and dinners, dance instruction and travel coordination.

	X Why did the menu change? The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to. The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability. More information on the changes... Where is the "My ProZ.com" menu? The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
