After obtaining an MA in English language and literature in Austria, I used to hold workshops on how to translate literary texts at the German Department of the University of Glasgow, Scotland, for many years.
I was also in charge of courses focusing on grammar and interpreting.
Having been fed up with the climate, I then spend some years in sunny Spain to work as a freelancer and learn a third language the hard way, which has given me deep insights into Spanish language and culture.
More recently, I have been teaching English and Geography at Higher Commercial and Technical Colleges in Austria.
Business correspondence, trade, economics and metallurgy are my areas of expertise.
Due to my extensive stays in the UK and Austria, I consider myself truly bilingual and bicultural.
Being a lecturer as well, my translations tend to be well-researched, concise and a good read.
