شهد عام 2006 زيادة طفيفة في إجمالي طاقات عمليات التقطير الابتدائي للنفط الخام قدرها 52000 ب/ي عن مستواه في العام السابق، حيث بلغ في نهاية عام 2006 حوالي 86,17 مليون ب/ي، مقابل 85,12 مليون ب/ي في نهاية عام 2005.

ومن جانب آخر ارتفع إجمالي طاقات العمليات التحويلية بالعوامل الحفازة في نهاية عام 2006، والتي تشمل كلا من عمليات التكسير بالعامل الحفاز المانع، وعمليات التكسير بالهيدروجين، وعمليات التهذيب بالعامل الحفاز، بمقدار 210 ألف ب/ي أي ما يعادل 0,70% عن مستواه في عام 2005.

وفيما يخص العمليات التحويلية الحرارية، والتي تشتمل على عمليات التفحيم، والتكسير الحراري، فقد سجل إجمالي إنتاجها من فحم الكوك خلال عام 2006 انخفاضا قدره 14,67 ألف طن/يوم ونسبته 6,74% عن مستواه في عام 2005.

شهد الاستهلاك العالمي من الغاز الطبيعي في عام 2005 نموا بمعدل أبطأ بكثير بالمقارنة مع عام 2004، بلغ 2,2%، ولكنه أقرب إلى متوسط السنوات العشر الأخيرة.     

وسيقوم المصنع بتحويل 330 مليون قدم مكعب من الغاز في اليوم من حقل الشمال العملاق إلى 34 ألف برميل من السوائل، تشمل 24 ألف برميل من الديزيل منخفض الكبريت، و9 آلاف برميل من النافثا، وألف برميل من غاز البترول المسال. والمصنع من تصميم شركة فوستر ويلر المحدودة بالمملكة المتحدة ويستخدم عملية ساسول مقطرات الطور الحبيبي المبنية على تقنية فيشر تروبش.

The year 2006 witnessed a slight increase of total primary distillation capacity of crude oil amounting 52000 b/d compared with last year. It totaled 86.17 million b/d at the end of 2006 compared with 85.12 b/d at the end of 2005.
 

In another development, capacity for catalytic conversion processes, which include fluid catalytic cracking (FCC), catalytic hydrocracking, and catalytic reforming, rose by 210000 b/d, or 0.07%, from its 2005 level.
 

As regards thermal conversion processes, which include both thermal cracking and coking processes, their total coke production capacity in 2006 recorded a decline of 14,670 tons/day, which is 6.74% lower than in 2005.
 

World consumption of natural gas in 2005 rose slowly compared with 2004. It increased 2.2%, but in excess of average consumption during the past ten years.
 

The plant will be converting 330 million cubic feet/day of gas from Qatar's giant North Gas Field to produce 34,000 b/d of liquids comprising 24,000 b/d of low-sulfur diesel, 9,000 b/d of naphtha and 1,000 b/d of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The plant was engineered by UK Forster Wheeler Ltd. and uses Sasol Slurry Phase Distillate (Sasol SPD) process that is based on Fischer-Tropsch technology.
 

No shares in the Company nor any right to subscribe for or convert any security into shares in the Company shall at any time be issued unless the Independent Shareholder has consented in writing to that issue, to the identity of the proposed shareholder and to the class of membership of that proposed shareholder. In multiple myeloma, the plasma cells which are produced in the bone marrow – the tissue inside the bone which manufactures all blood cells – are abnormal and multiply rapidly. The increased number of abnormal cells -called myeloma cells- causes an increased production of an abnormal antibody called M-protein (or paraprotein). The abnormal cells also cause a decrease in the production of normal red and white blood cells and produce tumors that spread to multiple sites, such as the lymph nodes, skin, liver, and spleen.

في حالات مرض السرطان النقوي المتعدد (سرطان النخاع العظمي)، تكون خلايا البلازما التي تنتج في النخاع العظمي – وهو النسيج الموجود داخل العظام والذي ينتج كل خلايا الدم – غير طبيعية وتتضاعف بسرعة. ويتسبب العدد الزائد للخلايا غير الطبيعية، التي تسمى بخلايا الورم النقوي (خلايا الورم السرطاني للنخاع)، في الإنتاج الزائد للأجسام المضادة غير الطبيعية التي تسمى بالبارابروتين. وتتسبب الخلايا غير الطبيعية أيضا في نقص إنتاج الخلايا الطبيعية لكريات الدم البيضاء والحمراء وتتسبب في إنتاج الأورام التي تنتشر في أماكن متعددة مثل العقد اللمفية والجلد والكبد والطحال.

وجدت الورقة أن الخيارات الثلاث الأخرى غير قادرة على تلبية معظم المصالح الحيوية الفلسطينية حيث أنها قد تؤدي لاستمرار الاقتتال واتساع رقعته، وستضعف أو تقضي على المسار الديمقراطي الفلسطيني، وستضعف من القدرة على الاستمرار في عملية بناء مؤسسات الدولة، ولن تساهم في الإسراع بإنهاء الاحتلال أو العودة لعملية السلام. كما أنه من غير المؤكد أن تنجح هذه الخيارات الثلاث في رفع الحصار إلا بشكل جزئي ومؤقت. وبالرغم من أن الرأي العام الفلسطيني يؤيد خيار الانتخابات المبكرة إلا أنه من غير الواضح مدى استعداد الجمهور لتقبل هذا الخيار عندما يتضح مع الوقت أنه قد يؤدي للمزيد من الاقتتال الداخلي.

The paper found out that the other three options are unable to meet most of the Palestinians vital interests, as they would lead to a continuous and widespread domestic fight, weaken or eliminate the Palestinian democratic trend, and undermine the ability to continue building the state’s institutions. They would not participate in accelerating the ending of the occupation or returning to the peace process. It is uncertain that such three options would succeed in the full removal of the siege. It may be partial and temporary removal. Although the Palestinian public opinion supports the option of early elections, it is not clear how people would accept it when, by the elapse of time, it proves to increase the domestic fight.

 LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations)

- All equipment which is involved in lifting a load should comply with LOLER
- The lifting equipment must be strong and stable enough for the particular use.
- The Safe Working Load (SWL) must be visible on the lifting equipment.
- The equipment must be positioned and installed to minimise risk.
- The equipment must be examined every 6 months by a competent person and records kept.

 

أحكام عمليات الرفع ومعدات الرفع

- يجب على كل المعدات التي تدخل في رفع أي حمولة مراعاة الأحكام الخاصة بعمليات الرفع ومعدات الرفع.
- يجب أن تكون معدات الرفع قوية وثابتة ثباتا كافيا لطبيعة كل استخدام.
- يجب أن يكون ملصق "وزن العمل الآمن" مرئيا على معدات الرفع.
- يجب وضع المعدات و تركيبها في الأماكن الخاصة بها لتقليل أي مخاطر.
- يجب فحص المعدات كل ستة أشهر من قبل شخص مختص ويجب حفظ السجلات.

بدعوة من الجهات المنظمة، شاركت الأمانة العامة في الجزء الأول من المؤتمر الرابع للطاقة المتجددة في دول الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا (MENAREC-4)، الذي عقد في دمشق – الجمهورية العربية السورية خلال الفترة 21-22 حزيران/يونيو 2007، ومما يذكر أن المؤتمر انتقل بعد ذلك إلى تدمر (22-24/6) للاطلاع على معالمها السياحية وإصدار إعلان دمشق.

قدمت إلى المؤتمر العديد من الأوراق التي تحدثت عن دور الطاقات المتجددة في سد العجز المتوقع في إمدادات الطاقة العالمية، وأشادت بالتطور التقني لهذه الطاقات، وتعرضت إلى الإمكانيات الهائلة للطاقة الشمسية بشكل خاص في الدول العربية، وكذلك طاقة الرياح ومجالات استخدامها في توليد الطاقة الكهربائية، وأكدت على اهتمام دول الاتحاد الأوروبي بالتعاون مع دول المنطقة في هذا المجال، كما تعرضت الأوراق إلى الصعوبات التي يقابلها التوسع في انتشار مصادر الطاقة المتجددة، خاصة عدم قدرة بعضها على منافسة مصادر الطاقة التقليدية.

Invited by the organizers, the General Secretariat participated in the first part of the 4th Middle East and North Africa Renewable Energy Conference (MENAREC-4), held in Damascus, Syria, 21-22 June 2007. Later on, the conference was moved to Palmyra (22-24 June) for sightseeing and issuing the Damascus Declaration.

Many papers—discussing the role of renewable energy in meeting the expected shortage in international energy supplies—were submitted at the conference. They commended the technological advancement in renewable energy technology and discussed the huge potential of solar energy in the Arab countries in particular, in addition to wind power and its use in electricity generation. They confirmed the EU’s interest in cooperating with counties in the region in this field. Moreover, the papers discussed the difficulties encountered by the expansion of renewable energy sources, especially the inability of some renewable energy sources to compete with conventional energy sources.

9. Indemnification. (a) Each party (each, in such capacity, the “Indemnifying Party”) will indemnify the other party and its respective officers, directors, employees and agents (each, in such capacity, an “Indemnified Party” and, collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”), from and against any claims, actions or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising or resulting from (i) a breach by the Indemnifying Party of this Agreement or of any representation, warranty, covenant or agreement contained herein, or (ii) the provision of any material to the Site by or on behalf of the Indemnifying Party, including but not limited to claims of breach of third party intellectual property rights. For purposes of the foregoing indemnity, the parties acknowledge that the following items will not constitute material provided to the Site by or on behalf of Bayt: all job postings and listings, all resumes, all chat room submissions, all message board submissions and all materials submitted by or on behalf of Customer. (b) The Indemnifying Party’s obligations under Section 9(a) will only apply if the Indemnified Party notifies the Indemnifying Party promptly in writing as to any such claim, action or demand and gives the Indemnifying Party the right to control and direct the investigation, preparation, defense, trial and settlement of each such claim, action or demand. The Indemnified Party will reasonably cooperate with the Indemnifying Party in the defense and/or settlement of any such claim, action or demand. Notwithstanding the foregoing sentence, the Indemnifying Party will not settle any claim, action or demand without the written consent of the Indemnified Party, such consent not to be unreasonably withheld.

9. التعويض. (أ) كل طرف (كل، حسب صفته، "الطرف المقدم للتعويض") سيعوض الطرف الآخر وموظفيه، ومدرائه، ومستخدميه، وعملائه (كل، حسب صفته، "الطرف المستلم للتعويض") ويشار إليهم جميعا بـ "الأطراف المستلمة للتعويض")، من ومقابل أي ادعاءات، أو دعاوى قضائية، أو مطالبات، بما فيها رسوم المحاسبة والأتعاب القانونية المعقولة دون أن تقتصر عليها، والتي تنشأ عن أو تترتب على (أ) خرق الطرف المقدم للتعويض لهذه الاتفاقية أو لأي تمثيل، أو ضمانة، أو عهد أو اتفاق يندرج ضمن هذه الاتفاقية، أو (2) تقديم أي مادة للموقع من قبل الطرف المقدم للتعويض أو نيابة عنه، بما في ذلك إدعاءات خرق حقوق الملكية لأي طرف ثالث. ولأغراض التعويض السابق الذكر، يقر الأطراف بأن البنود التالية لن تشكل مواد مقدمة للموقع من قبل بيت أو نيابة عنها: جميع إعلانات الوظائف وقوائمها، وجميع السير الذاتية، وجميع المساهمات الخاصة بغرف الدردشة، وجميع المساهمات الخاصة بلوحة الرسائل، وجميع المواد التي يقدمها الزبون أو تقدم نيابة عنه. (ب) التزام الطرف المقدم للتعويض بموجب القسم رقم 9(أ) سينطبق فقط إذا قام الطرف المستلم للتعويض فورا بإشعار الطرف المقدم للتعويض كتابة بأي إدعاء مماثل أو دعوى قضائية أو مطالبة، ومنح الطرف المقدم للتعويض حق التحكم في التحقيق وتوجيهه، والإعداد له، والدفاع، والمحاكمة، وتسوية كل إدعاء مماثل أو دعوى قضائية أو مطالبة. وسوف يقوم الطرف المستلم للتعويض بالتعاون بشكل معقول مع الطرف المقدم للتعويض في الدفاع و/أو تسوية إدعاء مماثل أو دعوى قضائية أو مطالبة. وبدون الإخلال بالجملة أنفه الذكر، لن يسوي الطرف المقدم للتعويض أي إدعاء أو دعوى قضائية أو مطالبة دون الحصول على موافقة خطية من الطرف المستلم للتعويض، ولا يجوز الامتناع عن تقديم مثل هذه الموافقة دون إبداء سبب معقول.

The Fund’s investment objective is to seek capital appreciation through a diversified, value-oriented approach. Its secondary objective is to seek income. The Fund will invest in equity and debt securities of companies of any market capitalisation located anywhere in the world, including emerging markets, as well as debt securities issued by any government or by supranational entities organised or supported by several national governments. The Fund may invest in securities of companies involved in mergers, consolidations, liquidations and reorganisations or as to which there exist tender of exchange offers, and may participate in such transactions. It may also invest in low–rated and non-investment grade debt securities of various issuers as well as in financial derivative instruments. These financial derivative instruments may include, inter alia, forwards and future contracts, options on such contracts or credit default swaps. The Fund may not invest more than 10% of its net assets in asset backed securities.

إن الهدف الاستثماري للصندوق هو العمل على زيادة رأس المال من خلال منهج منوَّع وموجه نحو القيمة. وهدفه الثانوي هو درّ الدخل. سيستثمر الصندوق في أسهم وسندات دين الشركات ذات أي قيمة سوقية والموجودة في أي مكان في العالم، بما فيها الأسواق الناشئة، بالإضافة إلى سندات الدين الصادرة عن أي حكومة أو جهات وطنية عليا تنظمّها وتدعمها عدة حكومات وطنية. وقد يستثمر الصندوق سندات الشركات التي تعمل في مجال الاتحاد مع شركات أخرى أو الدمج أو التسييل أو إعادة التنظيم أو في حال تقديم عروض متبادلة، ومن الممكن أن تشارك في مثل هذه العمليات. وقد يستثمر الصندوق أيضاً في سندات الدين المنخفضة القيمة غير المصنّفة للاستثمار الخاصة بعدة جهات إصدار، بالإضافة إلى الاستثمار في الأدوات المالية. وقد تشتمل هذه الأدوات المالية، من بين أشياء أخرى، على العقود الآجلة والعقود المستقبلية، وعقود الاختيارات عن هذه العقود أو التبادلات المالية التلقائية. ولن يستثمر الصندوق بنسبة أكبر من 10% من صافي أصوله في السندات المدعومة بالممتلكات.
