This operating manual belongs to the XXX sweeper vehicle.
The purpose of the manual is a safe use and maintenance of the sweeper vehicle and the manual must be available for the operators at all times.
1.1. Purpose of the sweeper
The A60 sweeper vehicle is used for cleaning paved surfaces.
1.2. Operators
In this manual "the operator" refers to anyone who comes into contact with the XXX sweeper or any of its components under operational circumstances. The organization itself should ensure that every operator is sufficiently qualified to work with this type of vehicle and is capable of taking the stipulations and safety aspects into account. A clear distinction is made between two groups of operators:
- ”The driver" is the person who actually operates the vehicle in preparation of or during the production process (sweeping process). The driver must be older than 18 years of age and be aware of his responsibilities.
- ”The technician” is the person who repairs or carries out maintenance on the vehicle. The technician must be qualified and trained in technical actions. It is mandatory that the technician has thorough technical understanding and is able to read technical drawings.
The driver and the technician must be instructed properly before operating or carrying out maintenance on the vehicle. The initial instructions are given by specialists from XXX An exception is made if the organization in question already operates several vehicles of the same type, or has sufficient in-house expertise.
XXX cannot be held responsible for work carried out by inadequately instructed or unqualified operators.
1.3. Description of the working
The XXX is a sweeper vehicle, exclusively designed for the cleaning of paved surfaces. The rubbish in front of the vehicle is collected beneath the vehicle by two brushes. There it is sucked through the suction mouth and transported to the rubbish hopper. The suction force in the suction mouth is caused by under-pressure in the rubbish hopper. The fan on the rubbish hopper pumps the air out of the rubbish hopper and releases it to the outside air through the air extraction duct in the top of the rubbish hopper. A labyrinth inside changes the direction of the air stream several times, thereby reducing the noise. The rubbish is moistened in the suction mouth so that it precipitates onto the floor of the rubbish hopper and cannot be blown out again.
The power supply for all the motorized components of the sweeper vehicle is supplied by a hydraulic system. This hydraulic system is in turn powered by the diesel engine. This type of power supply ensures that the diesel engine can maintain a constant engine speed and that all other actions (steering, linear, rotating) are generated by regulating the hydraulic fluid flow. For instance, the driving action, the steering mechanism, the hydraulic cylinders, the sweeping unit and the suction fan are all regulated hydraulically.
Only the driving speed and fan speed are directly affected by the reduced power and engine speed of the diesel engine.

Il presente manuale tratta della motospazzatrice XXX.
Lo scopo del presente manuale è quello di garantire un utilizzo sicuro della motospazzatrice nonché di eseguire interventi di manutenzione in tutta sicurezza. Tale manuale deve essere a disposizione degli operatori in qualsiasi momento.
1.1. Scopo della motospazzatrice
La motospazzatrice XXX è utilizzata per la pulizia di superfici pavimentate.
1.2. Operatori
Nel presente manuale per operatore si intende chiunque entri in contatto con la motospazzatrice XXX o con i relativi componenti in circostanze operative. L’azienda stessa provvederà a garantire che tutti gli operatori siano sufficientemente qualificati per lavorare con questo tipo di veicolo e che siano in grado di rispettare le condizioni di sicurezza stabilite. Viene fatta una netta distinzione tra due gruppi di operatori:
- Per conducente si intende la persona che effettivamente guida il veicolo in fase di preparazione o nel corso del processo produttivo (processo di scopatura). Il conducente deve avere più di 18 anni ed essere consapevole delle proprie responsabilità.
- Per tecnico si intende la persona che effettua interventi di riparazione o di manutenzione sul veicolo. Il tecnico deve essere qualificato e addestrato in modo tale da poter svolgere operazioni tecniche. Il tecnico deve tassativamente avere una conoscenza tecnica approfondita ed essere in grado di leggere i disegni tecnici.
Il conducente e il tecnico devono essere debitamente istruiti prima di mettere in funzione il veicolo o di effettuare degli interventi di manutenzione sullo stesso. Le istruzioni iniziali vengono fornite dagli esperti XXX. Un’eccezione è fatta se l’azienda in questione dispone di diversi veicoli dello stesso tipo già operativi, o se si è acquisita una sufficiente esperienza in-house.
XXX non può essere ritenuta responsabile di lavori svolti da operatori non adeguatamente istruiti o non qualificati.
1.3. Descrizione di funzionamento
L’XXX è una motospazzatrice progettata esclusivamente per la pulizia di superfici pavimentate. L’immondizia di fronte al veicolo viene raccolta da due spazzole ubicate sotto il veicolo. Viene quindi aspirata attraverso una bocca di aspirazione e trasferita al cassone. La potenza di aspirazione nella bocca di aspirazione è generata dal vuoto creato all'interno del cassone. L'aspiratore sul cassone pompa l'aria all'esterno della stessa e la rilascia mediante il condotto di estrazione dell’aria posto sulla parte superiore del cassone. Un labirinto all’interno cambia diverse volte la direzione del flusso dell'aria, riducendo così il rumore. La spazzatura viene bagnata nella bocca di aspirazione in modo tale da precipitare sul fondo del cassone e non essere più soffiata.
Tutti i componenti motorizzati della motospazzatrice sono alimentati mediante un impianto idraulico. L’impianto idraulico a sua volta è alimentato dal motore diesel. Questo tipo di alimentazione fa sì che il motore diesel mantenga una velocità motore costante e che tutte le altre azioni (sterzante, lineare, rotante) siano generate mediante la regolazione del flusso del fluido idraulico. Per esempio, l’azione di marcia, il meccanismo di sterzo, i cilindri idraulici, l'unità di scopatura e l'aspiratore sono tutti regolati idraulicamente.
Solo la velocità di marcia e dell’aspiratore subiscono l’influenza diretta della potenza e velocità ridotte del motore diesel.
