I am a native English speaker, with a Masters Degree in Scientific, Technical, and Medical Translation, post-graduate diploma in Civil Engineering, and Bachelor's Degree in Physics with Astronomy. I have 6 years full-time translation experience.

Thus I specalize in technical documents ranging from purchase orders for technical goods, engineering plans, bid applications for technical projects, construction related documents, electronics and electronic engineering, instruction manuals for technical goods such as phones, and other more academic subjects.

In addition to my strong background in technology and engineering, I have also gained a great deal of experience translating more general documents such as contracts, purchase orders, birth certificates, wedding certificates, police reports, and consumer confidence surveys.

I am comfortable with most file formats, and can work with formats such as low-quality PDF's and JPEG's. I use Trados Studio, and have created an extensive set of technical dictionaries over the years.

I am comfortable with traditional Chinese characters and simplified Chinese characters, and most of the Chinese trascription standards such as Hanyu pinyin, Zhuyin, and Wade-Giles. I am based in London in the UK.
