English to French: A new chemical etching process to improve endosseous implant osseointegration:
Source text - English ABSTRACT: The development of novel mechanical and chemical surface modification treatments to improve the osteointegration properties of osseointegrated dental implants is nowadays a topic of great applicative interest. The aim of the present study was to analyse the role of surface topography and chemistry of four different surface treatments on titanium by an in vitro human osteosarcoma immortalised cell line model (MG63). The surface treatments considered were (a) machined titanium, (b) chemical etched on machined titanium, (c) sandblasted titanium and (d) chemical etching on sandblasted titanium. Chemical and physical surface properties were investigated by Scanning Electron Microscopy, Thin Film-X ray Diffraction and by Laser Profilometry. The in vitro biological response was characterised using the MG63 cell line by elution cytotoxicity tests, cell morphology, adhesion, proliferation activity, alkaline phosphatase activity and total DNA content in order to show a relationship between osteoblast response and surface features.	Translation - French RESUME : La mise au point de nouveaux traitements de modification des surfaces mécanique et chimique visant à améliorer les propriétés d'oestéo-intégration des implants dentaires intra-osseux est aujourd’hui un sujet qui revêt un grand intérêt sur le plan des applications. La présente étude a pour but d’analyser le rôle de la topographie et de la chimie des réactions de surface dans quatre traitements de surface différents réalisés sur du titane en établissant un modèle de lignée cellulaire, à croissance continue, in vitro, à partir d’un ostéosarcome humain (MG63). Les traitements de surface considérés ont été : (a) titane travaillé, (b) décapage chimique sur du titane travaillé (c), titane sablé et (d) décapage chimique sur du titane sablé. Les propriétés des surfaces chimique et physique ont fait l’objet d’une étude au moyen des techniques suivantes : microscopie électronique à balayage, étude de couches minces par diffraction X et profilométrie laser. Les effets biologiques in vitro ont été caractérisés en utilisant la lignée cellulaire MG63 au moyen de tests de cytotoxicité par élution, morphologie cellulaire, adhésion, activité de prolifération, activité de la phosphatase alcaline et teneur en ADN totale afin d'établir une relation entre la réponse ostéoblastique et les éléments de surface.
