I am working as a freelance interpreter & translator at the moment. My last job was at Kepak Clonee, Clonee, Co. Meath, Ireland. It is the largest stand alone beef slaughter and deboning site in the country. I have gained considerable experience in my time there. There are over one hundred and fifty non nationals employed here (mainly Brazilian and Eastern European staff). In the last two years I had sole responsibility for these staff from a HR perspective. I help these staff achieve their full potential in a tough working environment.

I had assisted these employees through interviews, induction training and on line job training acting as an interpreter and translator for the Portuguese speakers. I had also insured that each employee has a PPS Number and a bank account which I set up for them. Any problems they were having I immediately brought to the attention of Senior management in the company and ensured that these problems were resolved. I also worked in the Technical Department at Kepak Clonee preparing staff training files, translating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and preparing for EFSIS audits. I also worked as an accountancy clerk in an accountants office in Brazil.

I have completed a Health and Safety at work course through University College Dublin (2004 / 2005) and achieved certification. As a result I have been asked to become the Health and Safety officer for the Kepak Clonee site. My first language is Brazilian Portuguese and I am fluent in English.
