Now let me introduce myself. My name is Carolina and my user ID is Asimenia, which is my Greek great grandmother’s name. English is my preferred language and Spanish, my native tongue. I live in Argentina, where of course we speak Spanish. I have Greek blood and although I am Argentine, I'm also proud of being Greek in my heart. I have traveled abroad extensively. And I'm grateful to life for this as I really enjoy getting to know different cultures. This, together with my translation studies at university level, help me better understand people and provide high quality work, due to the close link among culture, language and translation.

I have been speaking English since I was three. I went to a bilingual English<>Spanish kindergarten, primary school and high school. By the time I went to college, my fascination for the English language was obvious, so I decided to graduate as an English<>Spanish Translator. This means I was trained in translation for four years. After getting said graduate degree, I became a member of the Translators Association of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have been translating for local and overseas clients for over a decade now. I can work with TRADOS, SDLX, Transit and Wordfast.

Needless to say, Translating and Interpreting are my passion. Consequently, I'm constantly taking postgraduate courses and attending workshops and seminars at the Translators Association above mentioned.

Furthermore, apart from my B.A. in EN<>ES Translation, I also hold a B.A. in EN<>ES Conference/Simultaneous Interpretation from Del Salvador University, Buenos Aires, Argentina. This means I was trained other four years as a Conference/Simultaneous Interpreter. After such a prolific career and so much gratification in both my studies, I can guarantee you that I deliver an outstanding professional service to all my clients, which is endorsed by my continuing in the business after almost 15 years and my work references gladly provided by those who know my work.
