I started my translation career in 1989. In that year I began my studies at the Sprachen - und Dolmetscher Institut München, which is a university for translators and interpreters. I passed my translator`s diploma for English and French (graduation: Staatlich geprüfter Übersetzer) at the SDI Munich in 1992. From 1992 - 1998 I worked for inlingua in Munich as an English teacher. I gave translation courses and general language courses for adults. From 2000 - 2006 I worked as an English teacher at a secondary modern school in Landshut. Since 2006 I have been working as a freelance translator. So I joined the Proz.com community in 2008.
