Hands-on technical and financial translations

My translation activity pans out in a few specialised areas.

Making a great first impression counts for me but maintaining a high quality service level is tantamount.
No need to take my word for it. Please see below some comments from customers willing to vouch for my work.

CREDENTIALS

Hi David,

The client has come back with AMESOME reviews of this project!

“Just FYI – This is the best quality of translation across the languages that have sent feedback so far I have ever seen since joining SAP J. German and French are usually really tough candidates…”

Thank you so much for your quality work!

To whom it may concern

David Marote worked on a highly technical prolect for Tongue Tied involving a large aeronautics company.
The sensitive project involved translation, proofreading and retranslating.
The volume was approxirnately 750,000 words to be
delivered within a short-time scale. Instructions for the project
were nothing short of a challenge. However, David delivered on
time and managed to follow our client's instructions to their
complete satisfaction.
I would recomnrend his services in this technical domain and technical translations at large. I found his skills as a translator and proofreader in this technical domain verv valuable.

To whom it may concern:

I have had the pleasure to work with Mr. David Marote in his capacity as translator for our feature film production. I am pleased to say that Mr. Marote distinguished himself with his skill and professionalism. His contribution to our film was truly essential. In fact, I am not overstating it to say that his outstanding skills as a translator literally saved the company untold delay and production costs, while providing an authenticity vital to the integrity of the work.
The films we are currently shooting, “Springtime in Autumn,” and "The Spring In Her Step" are set in a several countries and it is being filmed in France, England, and The United States. As the French producer and his crew could not competently do their work without fully understanding the original text with the writer’s intent and perspective, this required the screenplays to be translated from the original English. As you might imagine in a project like this, the translation must not only be accurate, conveying the true sentiment of the script, but it must also reflect the writer’s voice in tone and style. And, as an added complication, the deadline for the 21,000 word assignment was nothing short of impossible.
Full credit must be given to David Marote for the fact that we had a finished – and translated - script ready to go for the scheduled shooting date. Not only did he meet the deadline, David came in with the script early enough to allow our writer to make last minute changes. Everybody was delighted with the translated dialogue and costly delays were averted. That’s what I call, “getting the job done!”
Mr. Marote impressed everyone on the project with his competence and dedication. He proved himself capable of meeting the most difficult challenges and I would recommend him to everyone as a talented and effective translator.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the telephone number below.

Sincerely,

Bonnie Loren

David,

Our client praised your ability to interpret on an IT related subject (French<>English). They specifically said that your ability to grasp difficult technical concepts and render them correctly and in good English was excellent!

Dear David, I have now had comments from my French-speaking academic colleague on the first two chapters of The Mysteries of Glass which you kindly sent before Christmas: again, I apologise for the long delay in responding fully.

My colleague writes: ‘As far as I can see, the translation is excellent. I have compared it with your original text, to which it does total justice. The vocabulary, particularly with regard to the references to nature and the setting, is very expressive and appropriate. All I can say to your translator is “Felicitations et bonne continuation.” I’m sure your French readers, especially the anglophile ones, will love it.’

So thank you so much! And bonne continuation! I look forward to hearing of your progress in due course, and am touched that you should be so keen to do it.
