All travel is now merely a means of moving a camera from place to place, all travellers are ruled by the all-powerful lens. Visitors old-fashioned enough to wish only to stand and look with their anachronistic eyes are shoved aside by the photographers, who take it for granted that while they do their ritual focusing, nothing else may move or cross their vision. Those peculiar souls without a camera must step aside for those more properly occupied, must wait while the rituals take place, and must bide their time while whole coaches stop and unleash upon the landscape the Instamatic God. And the populations of whole countries seeing themselves cannibalised, swallowed up, vacuumed into the black-ringed staring eye, wrench what they can from the cannibals. You want picture my house, my camel? You pay.
None of this would matter, perhaps, if anything worthwhile was being accomplished. If all the constant busyness and clicking produced, at its end, what had not existed before, images of beauty captured or truth told. But, sadly, this isn't so. The camera is simply graffiti made respectable.
The camera is the means by which we stamp ourselves on everything we see, under cover of recording the Wonders of the World already wonderfully
recorded by professionals and on sale at every corner bookshop and newsagent. But what use to show Aunt Maud, back home, postcards of the Tuscan landscape, since we are not in the picture to prove that we were there?

Introduction
Tannin acyl hydrolase (tannase, EC 3.1.1.20), an
inducible enzyme, is produced in the presence of tannin
by a number of microorganisms. It is extensively applied in the food, feed, pharmaceuticals, beverage, brewing and chemical industries. The major uses of tannase are in the production of gallic acid, pyrogallol, propyl gallate, in wine-making, beer-chillproofing, production of instant
tea by solubilization of tea cream and in the manufac-ture of coffee-flavoured soft drinks. Tannase also finds use as a sensitive analytical probe for determining structures of gallic acid esters, in the pretreatment of animal feed additives, in the leather industry and in cleaning up of highly polluting tannery effluent.
Tannase production by solid-state fermentation
(SSF) has some advantages over submerged or liquid surface fermentation, but the heat produced by the metabolism of the microorgan-
isms adversely affects the microbial growth and
activity. To overcome these adverse effects, modified solid-state fermentation (MSSF) was carried out in a GROWTEK bioreactor using tannin-rich agro-residues. Filamentous fungi are
ideally suited for a successful SSF, since they grow in nature on solid substrates like wood, stem, root, leaves of plants in the absence of free water. They also have the intrusion power for penetrating deep into the intercellular and intracellular spaces for better sub-strate utilization.
When either strain, Rhizopus oryzae or Aspergillus
foetidus was grown separately under MSSF conditions on the identical mixed substrate comprising of powdered fruits of Terminalia chebula and Caesalpinia digyna pod cover powder, A. foetidus showed a marginally higher
yield of tannase (36.4 U/ml in 72 h) than R. oryzae
(31.8 U/ml in 60 h), taking a longer incubation period
for this maximal production. A higher amount of tannase (41.3 U/ml) was
produced in a shorter time period (48 h) by these two fungal strains together in co-culture under MSSF using the same mixed substrate, which is the first time report of tannase production by the co-culture method (Banerjee et al. 2005). Hence, the study of some of the properties of this industrial enzyme produced by the fungal co-culture was found interesting. In the present paper, the effects of temperature, pH and additives on the activity of this tannase are presented. It may be mentioned here that both the fungal strains produced tannase and the activity is the combined effect of these
two tannases.
Usually the end product of a fermentation process

The UK's development of carbon capture and storage (CCS)technology, regarded as single best technology to reduce significant CO2 emissions, has taken both a step forward and back. Positive news for those looking to develop post-combustion technology, but for pre-combustion technology - a setback.
The basic background to this combines 2 points:
1, UK government promotes CCS as part of efforts to mitigate climate change. Given that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states that CCS has the potential to meet 15 to 55% of the global CO2 mitigation effort by 2100, it is easy to see why.
2, government also sees CCS as a potentially profitable export if UK companies can develop a commercially viable plant before anyone else.
Combination of these 2 issues has led government to support aiding the development of post-combustion and not pre-combustion technology. In a letter to the UK's Daily Telegraph newspaper, UK's energy minister Malcolm Wicks said the decision to exclude pre-combustion methods was because ?post-combustion technology is the most globally relevant technology.? He said the decision ?complements, rather than competes with, developments in Norway and U.S.,? which are looking at pre-combustion.
Belief that capture technology can be retro-fitted to existing coal-fired plants, such as built in China, מתגיש logic behind the decision. So government has come out in favour of projects that remove CO2 after coal is burnt in power plants and then store it underground, rather than integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) technology that removes the gas responsible for climate change before combustion.
It means that government funding for pre-combustion projects has now been cut off. For some projects, it mean the end. This is possibly case with Scottish and Southern Electric's (SSE)ש-Peterhead gas-fired power plant could pump CO2 into the depleted North Sea Miller field. It is the latest setback for the US$2 billion plan, following the summer withdrawal of BP, owner of the Miller field, amid claims that it could no longer wait for the government to make a decision on monetary support.
There does appear to be a feeling amongst developers that if government takes a tough line with EU countries during talks on Phase 3 of the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) then there may be some hope for projects to be commercially viable. Many support a move to full auctioning of allowances to emit CO2 from 2012, when Phase 3 is due to be implemented, rather than free handouts and a commitment from all EU member states to emission cuts and the ETS + tighter National Allocation Plans for distributing carbon permits.
These measures would help carbon prices move upwards, with ?40-a-tonne level that carbon capture projects could pay for themselves. However, agreement at the EU level is never easy, and it seems likely that some countries would resist.
On the other side, RWE npower has announced plans for the first CO2 capture pilot plant at UK coal power plant. An initial ?8.4 million investment will focus on 1MW capture plant, with further investment planned - capture and storage demonstrator plant of at least 25MW. Both will be designed using post-combustion technology and pilot will enable to develop a full הבנה of technical and commercial issues relating to CCS, and allow the CCS concept to be tested in close to real operational conditions. First phase could be fully operational by 2010 and will be located at Aberthaw power plant in South Wales.
This announcement coincides with news from the US that Department of Energy (DOE) has awarded the first 3 contracts for large-scale CCS projects as part of its plan to invest almost $200 million in technology over next 10 years.Three projects will conduct large volume tests for storage of 1 million+ tonnes of CO2 in deep saline reservoirs.

- The amount of time I need to complete the project. I will never take the job when I know for sure that the amount of time I have is insufficient. In case that during the work process something unexpected happens that will prevent me from meeting the deadline or completing the job, I'll notice you right away.
Finalizing the project.
- The layout of the final product is edited to resemble the layout of the source as much as possible.
Note: complex layouts which require heavy editing may include editing fee.
After I complete the translation it undergoes proofreading process.
The Final product is delivered to the client.

- Availability- I'm available most of the day, you're comments or requests will be answered no longer than 12-14 hours, and usually within 2-4 hours.
