I specialize in several core areas:
Financial reporting: I have worked for private banks and financial institutions translating earnings postings, financial information, information about IPOs, rights issues etc, as well as investor relations publications.
Fine Arts: I translate details of lots coming up for auction at auction houses around Europe, as well as items that are on display in museums that are part of private collections. A particular speciality has been early Meissen Porcelain, particularly that from between 1740 and 1770.
Fire Alarm Systems: Since 2002 I have specialised in translations of manuals, product information, technical documentation as well as interface localisation of fire alarm systems. This has required me to acquire an in-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g. ATEX 100a and EN54).
Hospital Communications Systems: Since 2002 I have been specialising in translations of manuals, product information, installation requirements and technical documentation as well as interface localisation of hospital communications systems.
Payment Systems: Since mid-2003 I have worked on many projects related to smartcard payment systems, documentation, interface localisation, as well as also focussing specifically on their application in the healthcare and catering industries.
Public Relations: Anything from press releases, corporate information, articles in the press, product information to speeches for delivery in English, for clients in Great Britain and mainland Europe. In recent times localisation of websites has become an increasingly frequent request from PR agencies.
Software Localisation: I have worked with several companies on the localisation of their various software offerings - ranging from CRM software, database interfaces, tool-tip help, software manuals and web application localisation.
