About me

My first work experience, still in Japan, was in pearl culture industry and Jewellery production/retail (1986-1989).

Live in Italy since 1989.
Worked for 13 years in Italian Jewellery industry (model and prototype making), and always translated both correspondence and technical text.

Freelance translator since 2003.
Rich experience and knowledge on food, wine, winemaking, cuisine, confectionary (my family runs an Italian restaurant), and tourism in general (please take a look on my sample translations).
Good knowledge also on history of art and of architecture.

I've really excellent advisors for each of my fields of expertize, and they all live and work in my area: tour operators, tour guides and tour leaders, winemakers, sommeliers, chefs, wine sales agents.

In these years I've been reading research papers written by Japanese archeologists who research Italian archeological sites, and just now I'm making efforts to gain contact with some of them.

A site on Castelsardo (Sardegna, Italy) tourist information which I translated entirely (IT to JP) in 2006 is on-line since August 2008.



For JP-IT translations, unless asked NOT to do so, a native revisor (a collaborator of mine) would examine the texts before delivery.
