About me
All I can say is I love translating, and feel very lucky to be doing something I love, regardless of the time and effort it has taken me to study translation and interpreting the way I wanted. I get bored easily, so I don't see how I could have survived a job lacking all these constant challenges and new things to learn.

In addition to the portfolio and CV provided above, a more extensive portfolio, as well as references to support my CV, are available upon request.

To help bolster your confidence in my work, I would also like to mention that, in a spring 2005 competition by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeking to employ two translators for the English language -from English into Greek and vice versa-, I came third [9.33 / 10] out of 1747 participants. You might like to have this verified by a Greek-speaking colleague - the link to the Ministry’s detailed results tables is http://www.mfa.gr/greek/the_ministry/staff/comp/diag_metafrastwn_apotel.html. Individual grades in descending order can be found at Translatum.gr, a Greek portal for translation, at http://www.translatum.gr/forum/index.php/topic,502.0/prev_next,prev.html.

You might also like to visit http://old.mfa.gr/greek/the_ministry/staff/comp/apotelesmata/gallika.xls
for the French results of the same competition (my score for French into Greek was 8.44 / 10).

Please do not hesitate to contact me with details of specific translation projects, or interpreting jobs, and ask for a quote.
