I am a language specialist with 30+ years of experience. BA degree (English, German), Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, MA (Linguistics), Southern Illinois, USA.
Authorized Translator, Ministry of Justice.
I have done a wide variety of translation jobs, including several works of literature as well as official and legal documents, reports and website localizations.
I specialize in authorized documents, technical and scientific subjects and medicine and pharmacy. Recently I have been doing work in the automotive field and on an Icelandic<->English dictionary.
I work in both Macintosh and PC environments (OSX - Windows XP).
My translation tools include Trados and Wordfast.
My interests are music, travel and photography.
I am married, live in Reykjavik and am owned by two cats.
