- Oui, évitez des commentaires mettant en lumière vos faiblesses passagères ou permanentes. Du genre :
Ce n’est pas à ma main !
Là j’en mettrai pas une !
Il est impossible d’y aller !
Je l’ai juste lâchée. Qu’est ce que ça roule !
Ne « m’envoie pas si loin ». Je n’y arrive plus !
Ne « passez jamais » à ce genre d’aveux. Dites-vous bien qu’une partie se joue en 13 (ou en 11) points, et que, avec un peu de chance, vos défauts resteront inaperçus…
- Quelle est la question qu’il ne faut jamais poser ?
- C’est paradoxalement la question que l’on entend le plus fréquemment au cours d’une partie… « Combien, de boules vous reste-t-il ? » Elle est, à mon avis, de celles qui déclassent un joueur et dévaluent une équipe. Car, à tout moment, il faut savoir non seulement le nombre de boules de l’adversaire, mais encore et surtout dans quelles mains elles sont. De la réponse à cette question dépend très souvent la tactique à adopter. Sachant qu’il vaut mieux faire tirer un pointeur et pointer un tireur…
Au sujet de cette fameuse question à ne pas poser, je me souviens d’une anecdote qui date de quelques années… Au cours d’une partie de début de concours, un des joueurs de la formation qui nous était opposée se tourna vers mon frère Jean et lui demanda : « Vous avez combien de boules ? ». Jean lui répondit sans sourciller : « Deux ! »… Après un moment d’hésitation, celui qui avait posé « la question qui ne se pose pas » de revenir à la charge : « Comment deux, il ne vous en reste qu’une… »
Et Jean de répondre sur le ton de la galéjade : « Oui, une ! Mais dans les mains de mon frère, elle en vaut… deux ! » | Translation - English

"Funnily enough, it's the very question that you hear most frequently during a game, ie ‘How many boules do you have left?’ In my opinion it's the sort of question which is demeaning for the player and which casts the team in a poor light - in effect, at any time during the game it’s important to not only know the number of boules remaining to the rival team but also and above all which player has them. Playing tactics will very often depend on the response to this question - bearing in mind that it is better to get a pointer to shoot and a shooter to point!
Talking about the famous not-to-be-asked question, I remember an anecdote which goes back a few years now. During a match at the outset of a competition, one of the players from the opposite side turned to my friend Jean and asked ‘How many boules have you got left?’ Without batting an eyelid Jean replied ‘Two!’ After a moment's hesitation, the man who had asked ‘the question you don't ask’ then pressed the point further, saying ‘What do you mean, two, you've only got one left!’
Upon which Jean quipped ‘I might just have one left but in my brother's hands it's worth - two!’ “

Lorsqu'on sent l'éveil tout proche, mais qu'on n'est pas “dedans”, on a envie d'y “entrer”. Et c'est justement cette envie qui nous maintient “au-dehors”, car elle souligne notre frontière avec ce Tout dans lequel on aimerait s’immerger. En fait, il faut ne pas vouloir y entrer. Il ne suffit pas de ne pas vouloir y entrer: il faut ne pas vouloir y entrer. La passivité ne mène à rien. Il faut être actif, mais une activité entièrement occupée par l’attente — plus encore, entièrement satisfaite par l’attente. Bien souvent, on sent monter en soi une vague dont on pense qu’elle pourrait nous propulser au-delà de soi. Et on se met en tâche de la renforcer. C’est là qu’on gâche tout. Comme si elle avait besoin de notre aide. Quelle arrogance. Et pourtant, elle a besoin de nous. De notre présence. C’est tout neuf, c’est tout nouveau, le statut d’auto-entrepreneur doit/devait révolutionner le web en permettant à tous de pouvoir faire du business… et de pouvoir déclarer pubs, petits travaux - et, pourquoi pas, générer du vrai business.
Je n’ai pour l’instant rien de vraiment précis en tête, mais j’ai toujours plein de projets et pourquoi pas de temps en temps des trucs qui pourraient générer du cash, donc je me dis: "tiens on va tester ça… en plus l’enregistrement peut se faire en ligne, ça devrait plutôt mieux se passer."
Le site est plutôt bien fait, même si certaines fois cela manque un peu d’explications pour les non-initiés (comme les différentes formes de régimes, etc…). On peut tout faire d’un coup en scannant une pièce d’identité.
Bon, le formulaire est assez trapu, pas mal de questions, des renseignements, etc… mais rien de dramatique.
Je remplis mon (gros) formulaire comme un gentil garçon bien sage.
Je reçois un email qui me confirme que mon dossier a bien été enregistré et que je recevrai d’autres infos un peu plus tard, alors j’attends… confiant.

Et là, surprise:
Mon dossier est refusé… j’envoie un email, j’essaye de les avoir au téléphone (toute une aventure, pas réussi d’ailleurs) et c’est grâce à l’aide de Dame Tartine que je trouve enfin l’explication:
Attention, l’application au 1er janvier 2009 ne concerne pas encore toutes les activitées : suite à un blocage avec la CIPAV, (caisse interprofessionnelle de prévoyance et d’assurance vieillesse) qui regroupe une très large partie des professions libérales, dont les ingénieurs-conseils et les informaticiens, beaucoup d’auto-entrepreneurs souhaitant travailler dans les nouvelles technologies ne peuvent accéder pleinement à ce régime. Faute de mieux, Novelli a promis de régler ce problème par le biais d’un amendement législatif.
Donc, si vous voulez être auto-entrepreneur dans les nouvelles technologies, deux solutions:
- attendre (et on sait pas combien de temps)
- mentir sur la nature réelle du travail | Translation - English

I’d nothing really specific in mind right off but I’ve always got loads of plans and, why not, a thing or two that might make me some cash from time to time, so I think to myself, “OK, let’s check it out –what’s more you can register on line, it should be fairly straightforward”.
The website’s pretty good, even though it could do at times with a few more explanations for the non-initiated (the different types of schemes and so on). You can do everything all at once just by scanning a document to prove your ID.
OK, the form is somewhat on the tough side, quite a lot of questions to go through, info needed, etc., but nothing you can’t handle.
So, I fill in the (hefty) form like a good boy.
I get an email confirming that my application has been registered and that I’ll be getting further info shortly, so I wait – feeling confident.
There’s a glitch – Non-recognised activity, it says.
And then, out of the blue:
My application has been rejected. I send off an email, try to get them on the phone (a real palaver, unsuccessful to boot) and it’s thanks to the blurb I find on the web that I finally get the explanation:
Please note that as of 1st January 2009 this status is not yet applicable to all activities: a veto by CIPAV (the healthcare and old-age insurance interprofessional fund) which covers a very large section of independent professionals, including consultant engineers and IT specialists, means that many self-starters wishing to work in new technologies are denied full access to the scheme. For want of a better solution, Hervé Novelli, French Minister for Commerce & Tourism, has promised an amendment to legislation to resolve the problem.
So, if you want to get self-starter status in new technologies, you have two choices:
- wait (but no one knows for how long)
- lie about the type of work you actually do
