German to English: Magazine article Detailed field: Media / Multimedia
Translation - English Some processes are repeated several thousand times an hour, while others require more time. We sleep and are awake based on a 24-hour rhythm, the female hormones fluctuate on a monthly basis and other bodily functions follow the succession of the seasons. The similar repetition of an event is characteristic for all cycles. Rhythm (Greek: “the flow”) is alive, never uniform and never monotonous, in contrast to time defined by its regular beat such as the chugging of an engine, the rattle of a machine or the throbbing of a pneumatic drill.

Source text - English Why have I been chosen?
Your doctor has told you that you have Migraine with Aura, and you may also have been told that you have an opening in your heart called a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO). Normally, the foramen ovale closes at or shortly after birth. When the foramen ovale remains open, or patent, the PFO may be related to the reason persons have headaches. Blood flowing from the left heart chamber can go to the brain, so chemicals crossing over through that opening could go to the brain and cause migraine. This is thought to be the reason that individuals with PFO have migraine.
