Quand un traducteur ou une entreprise de traduction veut se faire connaître et que l’occasion se présente, il est toujours tentant de montrer au monde entier un échantillonnage de ses talents. Surtout quand cette publicité est presque gratuite et très efficace.
Et que montrera-t-on dans ces échantillons ? Des traductions réelles, bien sûr. Alors, qu’advient-il du sceau de la confidentialité sous lequel ont été faites ces traductions? Beau dilemme, n’est-ce pas?

When translators or translation agencies wish to advertise their services, it may be very tempting to provide true samples of their best wordsmithing abilities. Especially considering that this can be a very cheap and effective way to obtain positive publicity.
What is on display in these samples? Real-life translations, of course. But what about the contract of confidentiality under which they were carried out? In our opinion, this presents a significant dilemma.
At BERLUKAS, we have instead chosen the more difficult road – the one that leads to integrity. Because all of our translations are confidential, we cannot show them to others, not even to potential clients or an anonymous public. We will not put a single paragraph on display, not even one that might appear completely innocuous. For the same reason, you will not find a list of “satisfied clients” or their logos at BERLUKAS. This is simply because we respect our commitment towards our clients: to ensure the strictest confidentiality for each and every translation. This is more important to us than winning any potential contracts.
How can new or potential clients evaluate the ability of BERLUKAS to “deliver the merchandise”? Here are a few of the ways:
