WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO IF I AGREE TO TAKE PART?
If you agree to take part in this study, you would be expected to make 12 visits in total if you are a patient taking medication for diabetes or a total of 10 visits if you are not taking any medicines for diabetes. At different visits you will be asked about any health problems you have or had in the past, a physical examination will be done, measurement of heart rate, blood pressure, temperature fasting blood glucose and other blood and urine tests would be performed Assessment of any complaints you had would be done and you would be asked regarding any medication you were taking in the past or are taking presently. You would be required to fill a patient diary card at the specified visits to keep a check on your blood glucose levels during the entire study period. You would need to measure your fasting blood glucose at least 4 times in a week and enter this information into the diary card. Also when you experience symptoms of sweating, palpitations, dizziness, you would need to measure your blood glucose and enter it into the patient diary card. Your doctor will provide you with a glucometer which measures your blood glucose when you are at home and also provide detailed instructions on how to do the measurements and fill in the diary card.

आप डायबेटीज की दवा नहीं ले रहे हैं तो कुल 10 बार बुलाए जाने की संभावना है।अलग-अलग मुलाकात पर आपको वर्तमान या पूर्व में हुए किसी स्वास्थ्य समस्या के बारे में पूछा जाएगा,शारीरिक जांच की जाएगी,दिल की धड़कन ,रक्त दाब,तापमान,फास्टिंग ब्लड ग्लूकोज को मापा जाएगा तथा अन्य रक्त एवं मूत्र जांच की जाएगी।पूर्व के किसी भी शिकायत का मूल्यांकन किया जाएगा तथा आपसे पूर्व तथा वर्तमान में आपके द्वारा ली जा रही दवाओं के बारे में पूछा जाएगा।आपको निर्धारित चिकित्सा जांच के समय एक रोगी डायरी कार्ड भरना होगा ताकि पूरी अध्ययन अवधि में आपका रक्त ग्लूकोज स्तर नियंत्रित रहे।आपको प्रत्येक सप्ताह में चार बार अपने फास्टिंग ब्लड ग्लूकोज को मापना होगा एवं इस सूचना को डायरी कार्ड में लिखना होगा।और जब आपको पसीना आने, धड़कन,चक्कर आने के रोगलक्षण का अनुभव हो तो आपको ब्लड ग्लूकोज मापना पड़ेगा और इसे रोगी डायरी कार्ड में लिखना होगा।आपका डाक्टर घर में ब्लड ग्लूकोज मापने के लिये आपको ग्लूकोमीटर उपलब्ध कराएगा तथा इसे कैसे मापा जाए तथा डायरी कार्ड कैसे भरा जाए,इस पर विस्तृत अनुदेश भी देगा। |
