I have worked professionally for three years as a translator, and I have more than ten years experience with the Spanish language.

My degree in environmental science makes me an ideal candidate for many types of specialized translations. I have a strong background in the technical terminology used in the environmental and ecological fields.

I have also worked on a wide variety of biology projects throughout latin america making me particularly sensitive to the regional language differences that exist.

I specialize in the environmental, ecological and biological fields, but have also worked on general, business and legal documents.

From 2000 to 2002, I worked as a Foreign Language Fellow for the US Department of State at the US Embassy in San Salvador, El Savador.

My work has included many translations for US Government Agencies as well as International Organizations, including local and international NGO's.

Most recently, I have been working regularly for an international non-profit organization here in El Salvador doing translations of a variety of documents including annual reports, grant proposals, internal business documents, powerpoint presentations, and reports to funding agencies such as USAID.

My rates for translations are $0.04/word or $15/hr. I will also proofread and/or edit for the same hourly rate.
