Shortly after my marriage in 1980, I desired to become pregnant. I didn´t have a clue what it meant to be a mother, though as a young child I´d spend hours rehearsing the part while playing house with my neighborhood friends. So, at the age of twenty-two, I was married and believed that I was equipped to become a mother. Six months later, I received the good news that I would indeed, become a mother. Many rejoiced with us about becoming parents. | Translation - Spanish
Al poco tiempo después de mi matrimonio en 1980, deseaba embarazarme. No tenía ni idea de lo que significaba ser madre, aunque de niña pasé horas enteras practicando el papel mientras jugaba a la casita con mis vecinos. Así que a la edad de veintidós años estaba casada y creí estar preparada para ser madre. Seis meses después recibí la buena noticia de que efectivamente seria madre. Muchos se regocijaron con nosotros por la noticia. |
