Environmental audit of 5 UK power stations
Brief description
Atkins was commissioned to undertake detailed environmental audits and ground investigations at two gas and three coal fired power stations as a part of the valuation and risk analysis associated with the proposed sale of the businesses. The project involved detailed review of available documentation at the stations, and a thorough assessment of future obligations (particularly for sulphur dioxide) on the coal fired power stations. Ground investigations were subsequently carried out at three of the stations in order to identify the presence of significant ground contamination.

Ζητήθηκε από την Atkins να αναλάβει λεπτομερείς περιβαλλοντικούς ελέγχους και έρευνες εδάφους σε δύο σταθμούς αερίου και τρεις σταθμούς άνθρακα ως μέρος της εκτίμησης και ανάλυσης επικινδυνότητας που σχετιζόταν με την προταθείσα πώληση της επιχείρησης. Το έργο περιλάμβανε λεπτομερή εξέταση των διαθέσιμων εγγράφων στους σταθμούς, και μία διεξοδική μελλοντικών υποχρεώσεων (ειδικά όσον αφορά το διοξείδιο του θείου) στους σταθμούς άνθρακα. Κατόπιν διενεργήθηκαν έλεγχοι εδάφους σε τρεις από τους σταθμούς έτσι ώστε να εντοπιστεί η παρουσία σημαντικής ρύπανσης του εδάφους.

I have been a translator/interpreter since childhood, but I've been making money from it since 1992. I've worked with some of the most reputable translation agencies here in Athens, Greece (such as Paspartu, COM Ο.Ε., Texto, Translab, Επικοινωνία ΕΠΕ, Τσερτσίδης Agency among others). With my two brothers, Fevos and Steve, both engineers and translators, we make a good team for larger jobs. They are of similar experience and capabilities.
Oh, and we are bidirectional: Greek to English, as well as English to Greek.
