I am perfectly bilingual (English and French), and I have worked in many different fields, whether it be social, technical or literary.
I am also a writer, and have taken courses in journalism and literature. Although my focus has been on technical translation and advertising.
I have done translation work for Sprint Canada (3D Contact INC. department, project supervisor: Mark Buzan), as well as for Strategy Actions (also supervised by Mark Buzan) which are both in telecommunications and public relations.
I have done small translating works for the University.
I translated the rules and guidelines manual of the day care where I worked, which consisted of a 40-page document at a rate of 0.25 CAND. Also, subsequently, I was asked to translate several Q&As for another day care center in Montreal, who had heard of my previous work in their field.
My rate is usually starting at 0.11 CAND (0.09 USD) |
