I am a native Russian speaker from Baku. I live in the North of Scotland and work in the oil and gas industry as a contracts specialist. I am a qualified translator and interpreter (Azerbaijan State Institute of Foreign Languages) of English and wish to undertake freelance jobs. I have 14 years of experience in various roles in the oil and gas industry. Most of the jobs I held involved performing translation and interpretation duties. I have vast experience of simultaneous translation at high level talks with national oil companies such as SOCAR, Gazprom, LUKoil, Kazmunaigaz as well as state owned piblic organisations in Russia (Vyborg Shipyard, Komsomolsk-on-Amur shipyard, KMNF shipyard) and government agencies and departments like Embassies, Ministries of Health and Education and Foreign Economic Relations Departments. From 1994 I worked for BP (oil company) in Azerbaijan and Russia where I had to undertake numerous technical translation jobs examples of which are Manuals for Shiprepairs, Analysis of Geological Strata of Caspian Oilfields, P&ID and isometric drawings for a Drilling Semisubmsersible Rig Upgrade (current name of rig is Istiglal). Translation of Production Sharing Contract for Shah Deniz and Azeri/Chirag/ Guneshli.
I have two additional degrees: MBA in Oil and Gas Management and Postgraduate Certificate in Oil and Gas Law.
