I graduated High School in 1998 after spending freshman and sophomore years in the United States by which point, I had gained fluency speaking and writing English.
I entered Law School at Universidad Católica “Redemptoris Mater” in Managua, Nicaragua and did three years. During that same time, I helped incorporate Centro de Medicina Laboral “El Jazmín” and during its earlier years, I handled marketing and office management for the company
Centro de Medicina Laboral “El Jazmín S.A. is a healthcare facility that diagnoses and treats with conventional drugs and physical and speech therapy, patients who have been exposed to occupational hazards as well as attending to accidents in the workplace.
The clinic soon became a national reference center expanding to two locations, one for in-patients and emergency room and the other one for out-patients and diagnostic testing.
In August 2004, I started working full time for Mission Dolores Basilica as Parish Secretary and Record Keeper as well as creating, editing and translating their weekly bulletin.
Later that year, I started working full time for Horacio D. Lopez, D.D.S. as a front desk clerk. My responsibilities included explaining treatment options to the patients, customer care, billing insurances, facilitate communication between the dental insurance companies, patients and dentists as well as other office duties.
While working full time for Dr. Horacio Lopez, I remained as a volunteer with Mission Dolores Basilica creating, editing and translating their weekly bulleting as well as other documents and publications.
