der Aufsichtsrat hat während des Geschäftsjahres 2007 die ihm nach dem Aktiengesetz und der Satzung des Unternehmens vorgegebenen Überwachungs-, Beratungs- und Kontrollaufgaben umfassend wahrgenommen. Gemeinsam mit dem Vorstand wurden die aktuelle Entwicklung hinsichtlich wesentlicher finanzieller Eckdaten, die strategische Weiterentwicklung der Gesellschaft und die dazu notwendigen Maßnahmen ausführlich erörtert. Zustimmungspflichtige Maßnahmen wurden einhellig verabschiedet. Darüber hinaus stand der Aufsichtsratsvorsitzende in regelmäßigem telefonischem oder persönlichem Kontakt mit dem Vorstandsvorsitzenden.
Im Geschäftsjahr 2007 ist der Aufsichtsrat zu insgesamt sechs Sitzungen zusammengekommen: am 26. April, am 20. und 23. Juli, am 15. und 30. August sowie am 20. Dezember 2007. Da die Gesellschaft ihren operativen Schwerpunkt in China hat, fand die Sit-zung im April in Peking statt. Dies bot dem Aufsichtsrat die Gelegenheit die vielfältigen Aktivitäten der Gesellschaft vor Ort unter die Lupe zu nehmen, um so seiner Beratungs- und Überwachungsfunktion noch besser nachkommen zu können.

During the fiscal year 2007 the Supervisory Board has, in accordance with the Public Companies Act and the company's Articles of Association, complied with its obligations of supervision, ad-vice and verification extensively. Together with the Management Board it has discussed in detail the present state of development in regard to important financial data, strategic future development of the company and necessary action. Measures subject to approval were adopted unanimously. In addition to this, the chairman of the Supervisory Board maintained regular telephonic or personal contact with the chairman of the Management Board.
During the fiscal year 2007 the members of the Supervisory Board have jointly held meetings on six occasions, namely on 26 April, on 20 and 23 July, on 15 and 30 August and on 20 December 2007. In view of the fact that the company maintains its operative focal point in China the meeting in April was held in Peking. This gave the Supervisory Board the opportunity to study on site many of the activities of the company and thus to further improve its advisory and supervisory functions.
