About me

Born in Germany and brought up in Austria. Studied at the Universities of Vienna (Russian, English and French) and the Johannes Gutenberg University, Germany (Ancient and Modern Greek). Practice: 2 years as freelance translator for the industrial sector, 5 years in-house translator for a relief agency of the UNHCR, 10 years as in-house translator of a UN-affiliated research institute in Austria, simultaneously editor of the institute´s multi-lingual newsletter; As a result of frequent stays in Greece and intensive contacts with Greek lawyers, I published a German-Greek manual for translators and sworn interpreters at court (2006).
