About me

I am a historian, but for some years now I have been working as a full-time translator. In spite of technical manuals for various telecommunication equipment (about 50 in total - I used to work in a telecommunication company for over 10 years) I also prepared some Polish software locations. Such translations are always welcomed, although right now I work as a full-time translator of literature.

So far I have translated eighteen books, although not all are yet on sale. The most important (published) ones are:

Edward W. Said - Orientalizm (Orientalism) - a famous and controversial study of imperialism and its influence on modern conception of islam

Desmond Seward - Mnisi wojny (Monks of war) - a concise and very interestiong monography of military orders, since the beginning of crusades up till recent times

F. Cartwright & M. Biddis - Niewidoczny wrog (Disease and history) - very interesting survey of disease impact on human history

Josie Lloyd & Emlyn Rees - Jestesmy rodzina (We are family) - a novel

Tom Clancy - Kolekcjoner (Splinter Cell) - a computer game turned into a book; interesting style

	X Why did the menu change? The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to. The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability. More information on the changes... Where is the "My ProZ.com" menu? Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together. I cannot find something If you are having trouble finding something with the new menu, please submit a support request.
