I am a British Scot and have diplomas from British and French universities in Philosophy and Earth Sciences (MA, DEA) and have been a freelance translator and interpreter for 16 years.

I provide simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services to local and national government bodies, European/international institutions, and industrial/business and private customers: international conferences, business meetings, training seminars, press conferences, political meetings, board and works council meetings, site visits; liaison services between professionals and private individuals.

My fields of particular competence include: the environment, energy, renewables, economic development, heavy industry, transport, maritime security, water, manufacturing, agriculture and food-processing, management, marketing, legal, urban planning and development, consumer products/issues, research, public health, social security, sport and the arts.

I also specialise in judicial translation, and work in close collaboration with practising lawyers.
