I was raised in two different cultures. I was born in the Netherlands to Turkish parents, so I am a Dutch-Turkish bilingual. My family resettled to Turkey/Izmir. I graduated off Hacettepe University, Faculty of Letters, English Translation-Interpretation department in Ankara. I have been working with various foreign companies in different cities in Turkey. I am currently employed with an American Institution from 1999 in Izmir. I am working as a liaison interpreter. My working schedule is very flexible and I have enough time to earn extra income.

I teached English at a highschool for a year and the following academic year I teached at a college in Izmir, thanks to my elastic schedule.

I am also a freelance translator, who is in touch with a couple of translation agencies. I finished two medical projects from English and a road-transportation project from Dutch and English into Turkish. A translation project consisting of 7 Electronics study books for vocational high schools is one of my proud achievements.
