Since 1998, I've been working as a translator for the main news agency in Romania, Mediafax, and as an editor for several daily, weekly, and monthly bilingual newsletters and magazines in the business and NGO sectors. Also, I've been working as a freelance interpreter (both consecutive and simultaneous) at various conferences, work meetings, and study visits in Romania and abroad. Most of my clients have been Romanian and British, but also American, Czech, and Danish.
I am currently working as a freelance subtitle translator and subtitler for the Romanian public television TVR, National Geographic, HBO, AXN, Viasat Explorer, Viasat History, TV1000, Travel Channel, TCM, NBC, and for Transilvania International Film Festival. I will occasionally work as a conference or personal interpreter specialised in the fields of civil society, education, and EU affairs.
I live and work in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, since October 2008.
