My parents are both British, but I was brought up in Italy. I am perfectly bilingual in Italian and English. My three children are also bilingual, although, since their father is Italian, their linguistic development is different than mine and most interesting to follow: they understand English perfectly but generally answer and speak in Italian.
I am an English teacher. I work with all ages, but my delight is in teaching children. I have a class of 12 between the ages of 3 and 7 years and am preparing them to take the Trinity Grade 1 exams when they 'come of age'.
Translations have come naturally to me. I've always worked in this area in a secondary way. Some time ago a friend mentioned ProZ to me and I decided to give it a go. The fact that my husband is a doctor has brought across my path a variety of articles either to be translated or else given me for proofreading.
