About me
I specialise in translation of legal, academic and literary material. Experience in ministerial briefings and the drafting of legislation in the Australian Public Service ensures that legal translations are both accurate and meaningful in their context. My subsequent career as an academic ensures that translations of literature, academic and educational material is sensitive to the original, while producing a result that is attractive to the reader in the target language. I also have a background in Mathematics and Geology and can produce translations in these fields with the appropriate register and idioms.

Prices quoted on the site are only a guideline and are subject to negotiation, depending on the nature of the subject material. I can use Wordfast TM and TMX glossaries and translation memories. In addition to Microsoft Office I am also able to use Latex and its derivatives in preparation of copy.

One of my hobbies is fencing and I have provided language support to major fencing competitions in the UK.
