I am an architect and have been working for 9 years. I am very much interested too in the field of translation. I love languages. I have studied during school french, english and arabic. I have studied architecture in french and practiced architecture in english. In my field of work, due to projects needs for translation of technical words and sentences, I was introduced to portuguese since drawings can not be submitted to clients without prior translation. I even took a course in portuguese where you learn also (not technical translation of architectural drawings) verbs, formulating phrases etc. Of course any language needs practicing to be good at it. I am good though in translating architectural working drawings to portuguese. I am very good in english, french and arabic. But what I mainly prefer is English to french and french to english. (even technical words in architecture).
I am a freelancer, not working in an agency. I have read a lot of french books.
I am currently working in Specifications in Architecture. It is really intersting and very technical. |
