Khan is the next generation 3-D MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) bringing thousands of players together as historical heros in the time of Ghengis Khan, the Silk Road and the Mongol Empire.
The intent of the game is to present the online users a longing for and adventure of the unknown world which cannot be experienced in the real world, challenge of the unknown world, experience of new culture in that place, encounter with the persons in the unknown world, edification for completion of incomplete personality, and an endless travel arousing users curiosities, and to create a hypothetical world that may promote friendship through encounter, adventure, cooperation, and competition of any of the users in a space with neither feeling of cultural heterogeneity nor the sense of alienation from the real world.
The background of the world, with which the intent of the game may be successfully performed, has the historical root in the thirteenth century that had been the era of Jinghis Khan and in the history of Mongol that had nominated most of the world at that time and had been the center of the world for natural exchange of cultures between the East and the West.
The Mongol Khan, which was connected from Ogodei and Mangu to Khubilai, continuously developed the essential energy for conquest of the world, with Mongo horse-riding troops with no money, strong nomination system focused on viceroy system and post-horse system, and the ability of information collection from caravans; established the largest Empire in the history of the world in the mid-thirteenth century, from Korea of the Far East, through Russia and Islam countries, to the northern Europe; and in the era of Khubilai Khan who had become the founder of Yuan with transfer of Mongol capital from the steppe to Beijing of China, with a change in traditional military power that was depended on the land forces, organized large scale of marine forces focused on that of the South Song and Korea and further expanded to their influence towards the south by sending expedition to Japan and Southeast Asia such as Indochina Peninsula.
