I am a freelance translator for German and English specialising in medicine, health care and medical technology. My native language is German, but after some 20 years of daily contact with native English speakers, my command of English is of a near native level. Indeed, I obtained school leaving certificates both in Germany and in the UK.

I have been a state approved translator since 1979 and regularly update my knowledge - both languagewise and in the medical/technical field. My job experience includes 17 years of employment in a British medical organisation. As their medical translator/clerk, I liaised between my British medical colleagues and their German counterparts and translated German medical reports into English.

In addition, I translate and proofread technical descriptions in the fields of medical equipment and mechanical engineering.
