About me
A native Russian who has lived and studied in the UK for many years, I began English lessons at 4, and as my formal education was conducted in Russian, English and Yiddish, I feel at home in all three.

In addition to undertaking commercial translations since 2006, I have extensive experience translating among the three languages in the course of my academic studies (I have two degrees in Jewish Studies, one from Oxford).

In 2008 I completed an IoL-approved course in preparation for the IOL Diploma in Translation (English to Russian) examination.

I am the winner of the CIYCL (The California Institute for Yiddish Culture and Language) Fourth Annual Yiddish-into-English Poetry Translation Contest (2008). (www.yiddishinstitute.org)
