About me
I am an Electrical Engineer. I am 50. I am based in Barcelona, Spain. My specialty areas are: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Energy, Robotics, Automation, Telecommunications, Machine Tools, Railway Engineering (Permanent Way, Traction and Signalling), Iron & Steel, Materials Testing.

I have a large technical library with some 2,000 specialised books in those areas. Additionally I am a subscriber of 20 technical magazines. I also have some issues of around 100 additional technical magazines. Obviously, the internet and, more precisely, the websites of all major players in each industry are a good source of technical documentation.

The language pairs I have been offering for the past 20 years are German-Spanish, English-Spanish, French-Spanish, and Italian-Spanish.

I dictate many translations, which are then typed by three colleagues of mine. I use the dictation working method also for translations to be processed with Trados, Transit, and SDLX after optimizing the strategy to tackle fuzzy matches and repetitions. My two colleagues carry out several quality control tasks, that improve still further the consistency provided by CAT tools. This organizational scheme has allowed me to serve a large number of customers and translation agencies the world around. This working method stands for high consistency and productivity.

In a few words: Professional Technical Specialised Translations into SPANISH.

So far, I have translated technical documents (some 14,000) for around 500 direct customers and around 100 international agencies.

The software we use: MS Office, Frame Maker, QuarkXpress, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Page Maker, Corel Ventura, Interleaf, Trados, SDLX and Transit. PC and Mac Platforms.

Another very important resource is the large and well-sorted technical library in electronic format that ecompasses some 10,000 documents classified in around 20 technical disciplines.
