I have always been fascinated by the power of words. I really enjoy translating and I specialise in conveying not just the words but, wherever they exist, also the tone and spirit of the source text. I like my target text to read as if originally written by a native speaker.
I work in close collaboration with my Italian partner who translates into Italian. This gives our clients a guarantee of total comprehension of the source language together with accurate presentation in the target language.
I have lived in Italy for over thirty years but have always taken full advantage of technological progress to keep my English fresh and up to date.
I have spent many a night or weekend working away on urgent jobs but I prefer to have the time to do justice to the original text in a top class translation.
During my career I have enjoyed the challenges of working for prestigious and very demanding clients like the Italian Prime Minister’s Office or the fast turn around, on the ball demands of managing and translating for an on-line news agency.
My translation work has always gone hand in hand with teaching English particularly ESP which has given me the opportunity to explore specialist vocabulary with the experts themselves.
