About me

Specialized in press/public relations, marketing, equine terminology, forestry and agriculture. I regularly consult my spouse, who is native Dutch and working as Construction Manager, regarding subtle terminology, sayings or slang in Dutch, in order to present accurate translations for my clients.
I can also offer my clients the opportunity to get my texts reviewed by a Swedish contact working as published writer and journalist (monolingual), for a slightly higher rate.

By being born in Sweden by Finnish parents I became
bilingual at an early age and also developed a special
interest in linguistics.
At Swedish gymnasium I pursued language
education.

In 1989-1998 I was employed at AB Gustaf Kahrs, a
wood-floor manufacturer.
1998- 2001 I was self employed working with my own
trotting horses.
2001-2002 I worked in the elderly care as well as a personal
assistant for a disabled woman.

August 2002 I moved to The Netherlands and got married to
my Dutch husband. In 2003 we relocated to Houston, Texas due to
his work as Engineer in the oil & gas industry.

I began my intensive Dutch studies in The Netherlands and
after our relocation I have continued to prepare for the
"Staatsexamen" in Dutch, actual examinations to be taken whenever we get back to Europe.
Our family speaks Dutch, English and of course Swedish at home.
