Translating gave me the opportunity to what I love best - to learn about the world. My hobby is jobs and professions, I like to know what people DO in their work.

I am not interested in buying fashion but by translating text for H&M I am always up to date with the latest trends. Worse - I'd seen it all half a year before the collections get to the shops.

I am not an art critic, but by translating exhibition catalogs I get to see many exhibitions sometimes before the opening, and what is even more fun, I get invitations to the openings.

I am not very technical, but by translating about forestry machinery I get to meet e.g. forest workers and learn their language and about their world through community fora, pictures and machinery manuals. The same with other stuff like smoke curtains, hydraulic pumps, security systems, sales training, fashion campaigns, CSR, 3D-design and plenty of other information, which is far more interesting than a journey around the world.
