I am an EU-project consultant specializing in eLearning and the development of multilingual portals. I began my career as a project manager in a large EU project with 17 full partners. Among other things, I was production manager and later partly producer of interactive TV broadcasts for English for Banking/Telecommunications/Business with live interaction across Europe. I also presented this project and others at conferences and workshops. Due to my bilingual background and 4 years' worth of teaching experience (adults, private language school), I began to be involved in the localisation of multimedia for language learning at the same time.
I became self-employed in 1995 and have been working in similar research & development projects within the same funding programmes for altogether 16 years. Translating, editing, researching and writing articles have been part of my daily work since then. Nowadays I spend about 2/3 of my work time on translating/editing.
Bilingual German/French; bilingual schooling from 3 to 17; MA in English/American philology & comparative literature; have lived in Germany, Belgium, Northern Finland. Currently living in Northern Sweden. I have been translating, writing and editing as part of my work since 1992.
