An example of this would be spyware-removal applications that determine if a file is spyware by hashing each file in a specified folder or drive and then comparing that hash value to a list of known spyware-file hash codes. Samim tim, činjenica da nijedan mogući heš kôd nema jedinstvenu vezu sa određenom ulaznom vrednošću postaje bitna samo kada koristite nasumične (nestrukturirane) podatke. Primer za to su aplikacije za uklanjanje špijunskog softvera (spyware), koje određuju da li neki fajl predstavlja softver za špijuniranje tako što ga heširaju u određenom direktorijumu, a zatim porede heš vrednost sa listom heš kodova poznatih špijunskih fajlova. U ovom slučaju bi bilo pogrešno oslanjati se isključivo na heš kôd, jer fajlovi koji se heširaju imaju različite veličine, pri čemu mnogi od njih nemaju semantičko značenje (jer aplikacija ne proverava značenje podataka, već samo vrednosti heš kodova). |
