An academician , writer political commentator and a translator . I have been associated with literature for the last twenty years . I have written more than forty research articles and published three books on fiction . My native or mother tongue is urdu and i am a professor of English . I have been writing on urdu fiction and translating urdu , novels , short stories and poetry in English . My specialization is comparative literature and have read extensively on Hindi , English Urdu and American fiction . Every translation is a challenge for the translator must retain the essence and fragrance of the original language and as a matter of principle translation does not leave any standpoint or judgement . It is a challenging job and i love challenges . I have translated major urdu writers works to the best of their satisfaction .I dont fiddle or tamper woth the text while translating .
