About me

I specialize in IT and marketing related texts, as well as health care, medicine and technology.

General texts of all descriptions, as well as subtitling assignments, are most welcome.

Also special intrerest (and knowledge) in literature, psychology and philosophy.

I have done translations in various areas, ranging from theology to Volvo trucks. Most of my experience is in the field of technology (instructions for electrical appliances, computer software, etc) and health care. I have previously worked at the Division for Health and Caring Sciences at a Swedish University for a couple of years, translating and proof-reading documents and articles related to health and dentistry, both in Swedish and English.
I am currently employed as an in-house subtitler and translator at a major subtitling company, where I subtitle popular science shows and do games translations. Prior to this I worked as an in-house translator for the Swedish branch of an American-based education provider, where I translated marketing material and course materials relating to the fields of business/management and IT. At the same time, I did freelance work as a subtitler and subtitled different TV shows.
I have studied English, Literature, Translation, Psychology and Philosophy and have previously worked in the packaging industry and as a teacher of English for adults.

I have my own company and most often charge 0.8-1.00 SEK/word, depending on volume and source text difficulty.

	X Why did the menu change? The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to. The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability. More information on the changes... Where is the "My ProZ.com" menu? Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together. I cannot find something If you are having trouble finding something with the new menu, please submit a support request.
