I've been the single mom of a boy and a girl (who are now 31 and 28) for more than 25 years, but I was lucky enough to be able to develop a career on Marketing and Business Administration that allowed to provide first-class education to my children. When they grew up and the responsibilities lessened, I became a happy grandmother (my grandson is soon going to be six) in need of a radical change in lifestyle. This change came in the form of two new careers -teaching and translating. I started translating as a part-time job to help a relative, and teaching, helping my son in his language school. I never thought I'd get caught as I did by this two new activities! As I said, I've always considered myself a lucky person, and to have been able to make the great change I did with my life proves that belief to be true again! My new activities complement each other perfectly-the solitude and quietness of translating is balanced by the opportunity to share with my students. So, this is what I do today. |
