I graduated from the National University Of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM) last year with a double honours degree in languages (Spanish and Irish{Gaelic}) - First Class Honours in both subjects, and am keen to establish my name in the translation business. Translation modules were a key component of my study of both of these languages, and I also attended various courses at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain for the 2002-2003 academic year (Erasmus). I am a native speaker of both English and Irish, and am also fluent in Spanish. I also speak Portuguese and Catalan. In addition to much official coursework in translation, I have also translated some poetry at the request of Professor John Kinsella, the head of the Dept. of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin America in NUIM.

My professional experience to date includes work on the following:
* 8000 words legal/medical text (English to Irish) for E-Teams International, Ireland.
* a localisation project (from American English to Irish English) for Apple computers.
* a piece of legal text (from English to Irish) for E-Training International, Ireland.
* a series of promotional letters to magazines, music venues etc. for the Irish group Bevel Jenny (www.beveljenny.com), (from English to Spanish).
